Ummm, can someone please throw a party like this and invite me? This song is fresh and easy to listen to and puts me in a good mood. This guy is from Christchurch, NZ, but like we Aussies do, let's just claim him as our own. He's cute, the clip is a laugh and the two combined make for a sure smile putter-oner-er.

Asian persuasion

I'm not going to lie, I have a little bit of an Asian fetish. Lucky for me, the legendary Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist has just paid the continent a visit and of course taken some fabulous snaps. Here are two little cuties for you. They both look so effortlessly cool.

An interesting character from the past is Nico (born Christa Paffgen). She was a model, a singer, an actress and of course collaborator with The Velvet Underground. I just love this song. Her voice is unique and inspirational.

Florence and the Wallpaper

We all know fashion repeats itself. But what about wallpaper? Ever heard of Florence Broadhurst? She was this eccentric Australian woman born in the late eighteen hundreds who dabbled in everything from singing, to art, to wallpaper. Above are some of my favourite of her designs that she produced in her screen printing warehouse in the seventies. Funny thing is, they are as aesthetically on tune now as they were thirty years ago. You can even buy them today at Signature Prints. I'd have some of that on my wall for sure. However, the most curious thing about this woman aside from her fraudulant careers and eccentric dress is she was murdered, the mystery of which still remains. An intriguing woman, I'd say...
