Where do you go to my lovely?

This song by Peter Starsted has got to be one of my favourite songs of all time. Yes, I realise it is very old and very different to what is considered popular today, but if you have a good listen to the lyrics, you'll surely realise why I love it to pieces. My dad always tells me to take a closer look at things and keep asking questions because it is the greatest way to learn. And he is so true. After listening to this song more carefully, and investigating the meaning behind the words (Zizi Jeanmaire, Juan-les-Pins, St Moritz, Sorbonne etc), I learnt so much and gained such an insight into the character he is painting, which obviously helps in understanding the said character's story, which is quite a lovely one. I find great satisfaction when the seemingly smallest thing (a song) teaches you so much. It brings a giant smile to my face and some knowledge to my mind.
